Five Songwriting Acts to Take Stage at 'Tunesmithing' Songwriters Show on Jan. 19

         NASHVILLE -- Five professional songwriting acts will take the stage on Jan. 19 (Saturday) at "Tunesmithing," a monthly songwriters show at WXYZ Restaurant/Bar at the Aloft Nashville West End Hotel, 1719 West End Ave. 

          Attendees will enjoy original songs and instrumentals by Lisa Aschmann, Meredith Bliss, Everette Brown, Dar Frantz, and Paul Nielsen. Admission is free. Food and beverages will be available for purchase. Nashville composer-educator-publicist Chuck Whiting will emcee the show. Engineer-songwriter-performer AJ Bigler will handle sound.

          "It's a great opportunity to hear and support some of Nashville's most talented songwriters in a listening environment," said Whiting, a composer and publicist who serves as a professor of Mass Communications at Motlow State Community College. "We are open to all genres of music, including Americana, country, pop, jazz, Christian and classical."

'Tunesmithing' to Celebrate Music in Film, Television and Theatre on Nov. 18

          NASHVILLE -- "Tunesmithing" will celebrate music in film, television and theatre with a show from 7-9:30 p.m. Nov. 18 (Wednesday) at WXYZ Restaurant/Bar at the Aloft Nashville Hotel, 1719 West End Ave. (near Music Row).

          Attendees will enjoy original songs and compositions by professional singer/songwriter Lisa Aschmann (hundreds of songs for movies and TV shows); professional singer/songwriter Everette Brown ("Summer Avenue"/PBS documentary series "Beyond the Parkway"); songwriter/composer/playwright Valerie Connelly ("Fearless, The Golden Love Musical"); songwriter/composer/instrumentalist Mark Horwitz (performed in the Broadway show "Beatlemania"); singer/songwriter/producer Bruce Michael Miller (four songs in the movie "Halloween Party"); and songwriter/composer/instrumentalist Bob Teague (guitarist for the four-piece instrumental group 'Quartessence').

          Taking the stage for 25-minute performances will be Lisa Aschmann (cuts by Art Garfunkel, Diamond Rio and others), Terry Bell, Kelley Cline, Sam Cooper, and Jason Kabler. Admission is free. Food and beverages will be available for purchase.

'Tunesmithing' to Feature Amy Allen, Lisa Aschmann and M Callahan on Dec. 17


     NASHVILLE, Tenn. (December 2013) -- The monthly "Tunesmithing" songwriters showcase will spotlight seven professional and emerging songwriters from 8-10:30 p.m. Dec. 17 (Tuesday) at The Row Kitchen & Pub, 110 Lyle Ave. (near Music Row).

     Taking the stage for the "Professional Songwriters Segment" at 8 p.m. will be country/pop/Americana artist Amy Allen (the Top 15 country hit "Someday Is Today"), songwriter/singer/author Lisa Aschmann (cuts by Art Garfunkel, Diamond Rio and many others), and the country-pop singer/songwriter/actor M Callahan (lead role in "One Kiss Cafe" at the Country Music Hall of Fame). 

     The "Emerging Songwriters Segment" at 9:30 p.m. will feature Mark Burke, Taylor Giese, Lexi Larsen, Erin McLendon and Jordyn Pepper.

'Tunesmithing' to Celebrate Ninth Anniversary on Oct. 3


     NASHVILLE -- "Tunesmithing" will celebrate its ninth anniversary from 7-10 p.m. Oct. 3 (Wednesday) at the Best Western Music Row, 1407 Division St. in Nashville.

     The special show will help kick off the "Independent Music Fest".  Performers will include singer-songwriters Amy Allen, Lisa Aschmann, Joel Atkins, Meredith Blis, Everette Brown, Butterfly, Wil Comstock, Bryan Cumming, Ashley Helms, Lance Hoppen, Les Kerr, Mirka, Nancy Moran & Fett, Max Niederle, Candy Paull, Cornelius "Popcorn" Robertson, Michael Snellenberg, Steve Trinward, Betsy Warren, and Chuck Whiting.

'Tunesmithing' to Feature a Dozen Songwriters on March 21

NASHVILLE -- "Tunesmithing Off Music Row" will spotlight a dozen professional and emerging songwriters from 7-10 p.m. March 21 (Wednesday) at Belcourt Taps & Tapas, 2117 Belcourt Ave. in Hillsboro Village.  


Taking the stage for professional songwriter spotlights will be Lisa Aschmann, Rand Bishop, Lance Hoppen, and Nancy Moran & Fett.  "Open mic" guests will be Bishop Davidson, Paige Evans, Timothy Flynn, Brad Howard, Ashley Helms, and Antionette Olesen.
