'Tunesmithing' to Return on July 16 to Aloft Nashville West End


     NASHVILLE - The monthly "Tunesmithing" songwriters showcase will spotlight seven professional songwriters from 7-9:30 p.m. July 16 (Wednesday) at its new home, WXYZ Restaurant/Bar at the Aloft Nashville Hotel, 1719 West End Ave. (near Music Row).

     Taking the stage for the "Professional Songwriters Segment" at 7 p.m. will be AJ Bigler (Producer/Se Live' Music), Gordon Ellis ("Memory Machine"/international airplay), Lisa Hannah & Paul Nielsen (Lisa: "Brand New Sun" CD; Paul: song cut by Little River Band), Sean & Laurie O'Shea (Laurie: former Disney World cast member; Sean: interviewed on ABC's "Good Morning America"), and Debbie Pascarella ("Wish I Was Kissing My H.S. Boyfriend"/VH1 Song of the Year Contest Winner in the country category).

     Admission is free. Food and beverages will be available for purchase. Publicists Chuck Whiting and Scott Johnson will emcee the show. Songwriter/audio engineer AJ Bigler will handle sound. "Tunesmithing" is sponsored by Whiting Publicity & Promotions, Music City Arts Update, and Shine Time Records and Books.

     "Tunesmithing" was founded in 2003 to spotlight emerging, professional and hit songwriters. The event offers mentoring, career growth and networking opportunities for tunesmiths at all levels. Future shows include a spotlight on film and TV music (Aug. 20) and a special Americana "Tunesmithing" to celebrate the Americana Music Festival (Sept. 16).

'Tunesmithing' to Feature Six Songwriters in Nashville on April 15


     The monthly "Tunesmithing" songwriters showcase will spotlight six professional songwriters from 8-10:30 p.m. April 15 (Tuesday) at The Row Kitchen & Pub, 110 Lyle Ave. (near Music Row). 

     Taking the stage for the "Professional Songwriters Segment" at 8 p.m. will be Kyle Samuel Brooks (award-winning drummer and percussionist), Chris 'Freight Train' Floyd (Americana harmonica player who recorded the CD "Freight Train Deluxe"), the Americana/folk/pop duo David Llewellyn & Ida Kristin (recently released the Welsh-themed CD "Homeward"), Joshua Melton (finalist in the 2014 "Puckett's Rising Star" songwriting competition), and Debbie Pascarella ("Wish I Was Kissing My H.S. Boyfriend"/Placed first in the country category in the VHI Song of the Year Contest).

'Tunesmithing' to Feature Joel Atkins, Dean Madonia and Taylor X on March 18


     The monthly "Tunesmithing" songwriters showcase will spotlight eight professional and emerging songwriters from 8-10:30 p.m. March 18 (Tuesday) at The Row Kitchen & Pub, 110 Lyle Ave. (near Music Row). 

     Taking the stage for the "Professional Songwriters Segment" at 8 p.m. will be Joel Atkins (co-wrote the new song/book "WhaleOsaur" with Emmy Award winner Ed Tossing); Dean Madonia (Top-40 song "I Called Her Tennessee" by Curb Records' Tim Dugger); and Taylor X (PCG Nashville artist who recently released the single "Red Flag").

     The "Emerging Songwriters Segment" at 9:30 p.m. will feature Global Songwriters Connection members Chloe', Jonathan Cigary, Mason Doughtie, Dan Reifsnyder, and Karolyn Marie Roberts.

'Tunesmithing' to Feature Casey Kelly on July 18

   "Tunesmithing Off Music Row" will spotlight 10 professional and emerging songwriters with performances from 7-10 p.m. July 18 (Wednesday) at Taps, 2117 Belcourt Ave. in Hillsboro Village. 


   Taking the stage for professional songwriter spotlights from 8-10 p.m. will be singer-songwriters Casey Kelly ("Cowboy Rides Away"/George Strait), LORENA 2 (Diane King and Crystal Miller), Mike Mitchell, and Susan Shann.  An opening guests segment from 7-8 p.m. will feature songwriters Marie Ann Bell, Butterfly, Meghan Saletta, My Little Austrian Friends, and Stacia Watkins.

'Tunesmithing' to Feature Pete & Pat Luboff on April 18

    NASHVILLE (March 2012) – The next "Tunesmithing Off Music Row" will occur at Belcourt Taps and Tapas, 2117 Belcourt Ave (across from the Belcourt Theatre) from 7-10 p.m. April 18 (Wednesday). 
    Performers will be professional songwriters Pete & Pat Luboff, David Llewellyn & Ida Kristin, Ashley Helms, and Deborah Bishop. The monthly event will feature an hour-long "open mic" and four 25-minute sets spotlighting emerging and hit songwriters.
